The School welcomes candidates from any academic and cultural background, following an interview or a series of interviews aimed to evaluate the candidate’s cultural, moral and motivational ranks, as well as their psychological stability.

If all these elements are deemed satisfactory by the Admission Committee, the candidate will join as a member of the School and will have to undergo and complete personal analysis.

Those who had psychoanalytic training elsewhere (or believe so) and wish to practice in affiliation with the School will be assessed by an ad-hoc committee in order to ascertain whether or not they meet the standards of the School.

A period of personal analysis, which may extend even after the admission, is nonetheless required for the committee to make any decision.

Affiliation to the cultural association

If a candidate is only motivated by a cultural interest in psychoanalysis and does not want to become a psychoanalyst, no analytic training is required. The training process will still be modulated as to reflect the candidate’s motivation and interests.
