Annalena Guarnieri was born in Venice in 1954 and is a psychoanalyst. She lives and works in Venice.
She graduated in Arts and Philosophy from the University of Venice with a thesis in anthropology.
Her psychoanalytic training began in 1984 when she joined the activities of the School of Freudian Psychoanalysis (SPF) as a member, following the project of its founder, Franco Baldini, to rediscover and clarify the naturalistic and rationalistic foundations as essential premises of psychoanalytic theory and practice.
From 1989 to 1995, she was part of the editorial board of Thélema. La psicanalisi e i suoi intorni, the School’s first journal. Since 2019, she has been a member of the editorial board of Metapsychologica – Rivista di psicanalisi freudiana.
She has coordinated study groups and conferences in Venice, Treviso, Milan, Turin, and Brescia. She has participated in various international conferences in Milan, Paris, and Cannes, including the significant conference on Freud and lay psychoanalysis held in Milan, whose proceedings were published by Thélema Edizioni.
In 2009, she collaborated on events organized by the Chair of Pedagogy at the University of Venice.
Her studies have focused on anthropology and psychoanalysis, female sexuality, and the relationship between psychoanalysis and literature.
