Matteo Colzani was born in 1993 in Milan, where he currently lives and works.
In 2016, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and in 2019, a Master’s Degree in Labour and Human Resources Management from the same university.
Since January 2022, he has been in analytic training at the School of Freudian Psychoanalysis in Milan under the guidance of Franco Baldini. In June 2024, he was recognized as an associate psychoanalyst of the School of Freudian Psychoanalysis.
His decision to undertake training at the SPF stems from a deep conviction that psychoanalysis is a treatment aimed at knowledge rather than a medical practice, unlike any form of psychotherapy. He also believes that Freud’s project—developing psychoanalysis within the framework of a natural science—must be fully taken up again.
His main research interests focus on the etiology of neuroses and the psychosexual development of the human being.
